Martyn Lawrence Bullard took his inspiration for the "Hollywood" dinnerware from several styles. These include: geometric shapes from the 1960s and 1970s, tribal motifs from Africa, the glamorous interior style of Hollywood stars from the 1940s and the art of Sir Joan Soane from the nineteenth century who loved repeating patterns several times. This colourful and creative mix of styles makes Haviland’s "Hollywood" dinner service a real work of art. The geometric patterns give the dinner service a modern touch whilst the platinum refinement and the interplay with shades of grey exude classic elegance.
